COLA-waiver assistance for qualifying U.S. samples
A certificate of label approval (COLA) is normally required to import alcohol beverages. Qualifying samples imported only for a trade show or to solicit orders may be imported without one, under a TTB waiver. We prepare and coordinate the request.

What the request must contain

- Importer The federal importer's basic permit and whether AD Global Corp acts as importer.
- Compliance statements Taxes and duties, sample/not-for-sale marking, health warning and sulfite labels.

Is a waiver the same as label approval?
No. A waiver exempts qualifying samples from the COLA requirement for the stated purpose. It is not commercial label approval and does not authorise resale.
Can you handle urgent samples?
We will be honest: TTB currently cannot expedite waivers and processing is usually about 15 days. If your date is very close, talk to us first.
Who signs the request?
An individual authorised on the importer's federal basic permit must physically sign the request letter. We guide you through this and record the authorisation.
What about taxes and duties?
All applicable taxes and duties must be paid. The waiver covers the label-approval requirement only, not duties or import clearance.
